Yesterday’s post identified a few of the numerous descriptions for Lean attempting to answer the question, “What is Lean?” A much more interesting question we need to ask is, “What will Lean be?”
Bob Emiliani’s forecast is in the lead image to this post. Bob understands Lean as a progressive system of management practice. His full post on this issue can be found here. The progression from a process focus to a human focus is fairly clear.
And hopefully correct. I’ll propose my phrasing for a similar forecast for the future of Lean.
Lean is a system for organizing human relationships and conversations within and between enterprises to invent ever more favorable ways of together addressing human concerns so that all people may have life and have it abundantly.
