About Tom
Tom is a frequent speaker, workshop facilitator, panel discussion presenter, and university guest lecturer on topics of collaborative productivity, team culture and alignment, lean management, and project leadership. His path to understanding the importance of integrating productivity practices with team collaboration comes from project management experience on teams that designed and built projects that ranged from the organization of a power tool rental company to the development of a multi-billion dollar wastewater and water distribution network.
As Tom transitioned from leading to consulting and coaching work, he observed that some teams were successful in embracing productivity practices while other teams resisted making such changes. His investigation into this dichotomy reveals that the source of human productivity lies with a personal commitment to a shared meaningful purpose integrated with the skilled application of collaborative productivity skills.
Tom’s leadership and guidance on workplace culture and resilience, team collaboration, and project productivity has benefited organizations that include Connecticut Children’s, Maine Medical Center, Mass General Brigham, Oregon Health & Science University Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Eastern Maine Medical Center, Turner Construction Company, the Lean Construction Institute, University of Massachusetts, University of New Hampshire, and DPR Construction.
Tom lives outside Boston with his wife. Their daughter is a stage management major at Ithaca College.

“The methods that Tom brought to our Mentor Hospital Leadership team was great. It was an effective and challenging way for us to think outside of the box, really open up and be honest with one another and to build strong relationships at the leadership levels. This was then carried onto the rest of the project team making for a great working relationship throughout the project.”
