The words were right there in an email newsletter designed to let people know how great the builder is. “Recognized for the long days and off-hours work they have put in to get this project done as promised…” I’m leaving out names to avoid embarrassing people.
If you plan and control your project using a Lean approach you won’t be needing the long days and off-hours work. Long days and off-hours work are a clear signal that something is very wrong with the leadership of a project. Of course you can’t solve a problem if you think the resulting behavior of the problem is good stuff, as the people who sent out that email newsletter clearly believe.
