PLUS: Kept workshop within time specified; Good discussions; Airplane production simulation helpful; Coffee; Lean construction discussed in the context of the team’s project; The LEGO bricks make the learning engaging; Allowed time to work on phase planning; Demonstration of weekly planning; Interaction between participants; Not including vertical time lanes on phase planning background and explanation of rationale for this approach.

DELTA: Demonstrate the Last Planner System in practice as well as theory; Discuss and clarify issues related to handoffs in project more; Discuss how to address Lean construction in contracts; Keep computers out of the workshop room and keep phones in pockets during sessions; Address issue of balancing time in workshop with time away from the work; Provide more time for planning in round one of simulation; Use better quality safety tape; Provide more information in advance regarding space needs for workshop; Convey value of training in advance of workshop better; Do workshop away from the job site to reduce distractions.
