PLUS: Broke up with different speakers; Provided education and then hands-on work; Interaction among participants; Fresh introduction exercise; Commanding officer story; Breaks were less frequent and longer yet allowed for short bio breaks; Shared vision of Lean leadership through LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® work; Warm location in the winter; Books as gifts; Continuity of the experience; Good space layout; Good size of group; Tactile nature of LEGO bricks; No death-by-PowerPoint content kept meeting engaging; Booklet as take-away; Meal tables outside meeting space; Social event with open bar; Thursday and Friday as conference days; Choice of a hub city allowing direct flight access to airport.

DELTA: Stabilize room temperature; Mix up the groups to allow interaction with other groups; Schedule outside of spring break period; Provide an agenda and schedule ahead of the conference; Provide more clarity on content; Better sharing of models with other groups; Balance theory with practice by providing first practical steps for the organization; Have more senior leaders participating; Get owners participating; Provide biographies for participants and better introductions; Articulate a mission statement for conference; Explain how to spread Lean in our organizations; Align attendees with the mission statement; Develop a group identity; Avoid conflicts at location with other major events; Discuss language-action in more detail; Survey what topics participants want next; Provide information about participants’ organizations during introduction; Provide photographs and contact information for all participants.
