Here’s a tip to make life on the job site easy on yourself and your colleagues. Orient your plan table so that the north direction on the drawings aligns with north on the site. Normally that means that the table is on the north wall of the office. The same applies to your large screen plan monitor. Place it on the north wall if north on the plan drawings is at the top of the page.

This makes it mentally easier translate the intent on the drawings to the work on the site. Given the limitations of some job site offices – usually trailers – due to locations of doors and offices, this means you will need to give thought up front to how you position the office on the site.
