We cannot afford to wait for the “two-minute warning.” We cannot afford to wait until the last few minutes to discover that our game plan isn’t working. And we cannot afford to wait until the last few ticks of the clock to become intense about life’s opportunities.”

Lean projects need intensity from the very beginning of the project. Teams that have delayed implementing Lean practices early in the project because “not much is going on” often find themselves overwhelmed not too long into the project. The optimum time to implement Lean on your project is at the very beginning.
