Make Ready Plans (Constraint Logs), Weekly Work Plans, and other tools have fields identifying either a responsible party or the party making a request. Frequently teams will want to enter names of the enterprises in these fields, such as “XYZ Architect” or “ABC Builders.”
A far, far better practice is to enter names of individuals making requests and commitments. The reason for this is that all the actions required to design and build a project result from conversations. Enterprises do not have conversations – people do. The tools that guide actions need to reflect as clearly as possible requests and commitments if those actions are to be completed reliably.
Keep the work personal. Just like when we were kids.
