This is one of those signs that catches your eye as you pass it, which is clearly the intent for the players for the University of New Hampshire Wildcats as they pass it on their way onto the field.

Many of us have heard those same words, whether on a job site, in a factory, or in an office. Too often the intent of the message is “get busy,” “don’t bother me” or “don’t ask questions, just do what I tell you.”

“Do Your Job” however can be great direction once we understand that every job needs to include setting expectations for the work, testing those expectations against what actually happened, determining what adjustments can be made to improve the work, and sharing what is learned with colleagues.
